SDCP is a collective of diverse leaders from several networks unified around the goal of supporting and planting churches in San Diego.
San Diego Church Planting (SDCP) exists to help inform, excite, attract, and equip those whom Jesus has called to be involved in planting a church in San Diego.
We are Evangelical, Reformed, and missional Christians who believe that San Diego deeply needs Jesus. We believe planting churches is the most effective means of reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
San Diego is the eighth largest city in the US with a population of over 1.3 million people. According to a recent survey, only 6% of the city claims to be Christian. "America's Finest City" is spiritually and socially broken, and needs Jesus to heal it.
It is our mission to help plant as many churches in San Diego as possible so that many may come to know Jesus as Savior and have their hearts and lives transformed – and our city as well.
The first Wednesday of every month we host a regional training meeting from 11:30am - 1:30pm at 5444 Napa St., San Diego, CA 92110. We desire to help encourage, equip, and endorse pastors and church planters in the Greater San Diego Area. Lunch is provided and meetings consist of a brief teaching, whiteboard discussion, and small group prayer. The regional workshops are open to anyone from any church.
More than ever, church planters are discovering a better way of church planting — together and connected. Our meetings provide valuable and practical training as well as spiritual and relational support for the work God has called us to.
